Sunriver

Every year we celebrate the end of summer with a trip to Sunriver with Ed's family. This year we did lots of bike riding and swimming. We rode horses, went hiking, boating and spent lots of time in the Village. My favorite memory was our visit to the observatory. Garrett was thrilled to actually see Jupiter and its moons through a telescope. He still points it out whenever the night is clear. Isaiah's favorite memory was the canoe ride. Here is an exact transcript of his retelling, "Boats. Crackers. Ducks. Boats. Crackers. Ducks. Boats. Crackers. Ducks." We're still working on subjects and verbs.

Each night one family prepares a meal for everyone. Pash and Eileen host the annual BBQ on the deck night. We always enjoy each others' company outdoors.

Isaiah, look where you're going!

We're already counting down the days until the next trip. Garrett knows he'll be 5 1/2 and is hoping to be able to ride without training wheels so he can go solo. That will be an adventure!
